We’re looking for outgoing people with a passion for wildlife to join us at Bristol Aquarium!

Our visitor engagement programme will put you face to face with the public, providing engagement and education, while spreading our conservation message.

Please note this is not a hands-on animal role but will aim to provide experience in the industry, increase skills and knowledge with conservation and wildlife, and provide opportunities to meet new people.

About You

You will be at least 18 years old and confident enough to engage with our visitors and be happy with pro-actively approaching visitors in the aquarium to share facts about our animals.

Shift Availability

Volunteering shifts are available on weekends and also weekdays during holiday periods.
We would need to discuss any volunteering shifts outside these parameters.

Shifts will be approx. 11am-3pm.

Benefits

  • You will have the opportunity to gain knowledge about wildlife, conservation and the ability to share this with others
  • An opportunity to improve confidence and communication skills
  • Meeting new people and making new friends
  • Free entry to Bristol Aquarium for the duration of your volunteering period, as well as complimentary entry for friends and family when visiting with you
  • Certificate upon completion outlining the skills learned during your time with us

What will you be doing?

We offer opportunities for our volunteers to increase their skills and knowledge by leading interactive workshops with real sharks’ teeth, jaws and other artefacts.

We also have opportunities for volunteers to manage an activity hub for colouring-in and hands-on fun!
