Bristol Aquarium is inviting visitors to enjoy a Deeply Creepy experience during the October Half Term Holidays (Saturday, October 27th – Sunday, November 4th).
Step inside the spooky sunken shipwreck and embark on a Halloween-themed voyage of discovery featuring awesome encounters with a cast of fishy fiends including moray eels, wolf fish, piranhas and jellyfish.
Plus there’s a petrifying programme of terrifying talks, frightening feeding demonstrations, weird workshops and tortuous trails to enjoy.
Don’t miss the Mad Professor’s science lab and the chance to discover first-hand the ghastly ingredients of a shark’s supper!
Plus bring in your carved pumpkin too for the chance to win a FREE 2013 Family pass!
There’s a world of incredible aquatic adventure just waiting to be discovered with over 50 amazing displays, two underwater walkthrough tunnels and giant open top tanks to explore.
Come face to face with thousands of amazing sea creatures; from tropical sharks and stingrays to giant octopus and elegant seahorses.
Part of the aquarium is contained within a giant glasshouse which is also home to a huge variety of living plants and trees and features a giant Mediterranean rockpool and a huge rainforest pool – fed by a waterfall.
The centrepiece of the aquarium is the coral seas display where visitors can enjoy the closest of undersea encounters with tropical sharks and rays in an underwater walk-through tunnel, via a two-metre concave bubble display and a massive floor to ceiling acrylic viewing window.
Other displays recreate mangrove swamps and are home to spitting archer fish, mudskippers and freshwater rays. There are Amazon rainforest pools full of piranhas and a recreated South American fishing village.
