Whether you’re dino crazy, fancy being a pirate or are mad about mermaids we’ve got the party theme for you. Each party has a themed hands-on workshop as well as party decorations for your table.

Tidal Treasures workshop

Learn about some of the amazing creatures that live in our rockpools and can be found on our beaches. Touch different shells from around the world, mermaid’s purses, starfish and more!

Sharks Ahoy! workshop

How many teeth does a shark have? What does a shark’s skin feel like? We will dive into the world of sharks in this workshop where kids can get hands on with some terrifying teeth and other artefacts!

Take a look back in time at some awesome prehistoric sea-life, touch the oceans’ biggest shark’s tooth and feel the shell of an ancient ammonite!

A typical Birthday Party at Bristol Aquarium

  • Please arrive a little before or at your allocated time. Our available time slots are at either 11am or 2pm.
  • You’ll be greeted by your Birthday Party Host and taken to the birthday party area.
  • Once all guests have arrived, your host will begin the tour which takes around an hour and includes the fish feed.
  • At the end of the tour you will return to your birthday party area where food will be served. (Three flavours of sandwiches: jam, ham and cheese, fruit, crisps and two flavours of squash: blackcurrant and orange)
  • When you have finished your meal, your host will conduct a workshop which explores some fascinating fishy artefacts.
  • Then once your party is finished you can wait for your guests to be collected.

Kids will embark on a journey exploring the wonders of the deep through captivating exhibits, hands-on activities, and up-close encounters with fascinating marine creatures.

With an expert party host and an exclusive themed party area for celebrations, it’s a splash-tastic experience that will leave everyone smiling!

Prices

Price per child (aged 3 – 12) – £17.95 Per Child

Adult – FREE: Parties of 10 children = 4 free adults. 15 children = 5 free adults. 20 kids = 6 free adults

Aditional adults (if you would like more than the allocated free available tickets) – £15.74

Optional Goody Bags – £5 Per Child

Optional VR Experience – £3 Per Child (Our VR experiences take between 3-5 minutes. A full birthday party of 20 will take approximately 30 minutes, additional to your usual 2 hour 15 minute party length)

Further Terms and Conditions

Without dampening the party vibes we must tell you about some important terms and conditions before you book.

  • At least one adult MUST be present throughout the whole party.
  • Birthday parties are for a minimum of 10 and maximum of 20 children (parties of 20 or more children can be difficult to control around the aquarium).
  • Two adults are free with every party, and then one adult entry is free with every 5 paying children (we offer a discounted entrance rate per extra adult). e.g. 10 children = 4 free adults, 15 children = 5 free adults, 20 children = 6 free adults total.
  • A non-refundable deposit of £25 is taken at the point of booking to secure your date. The remaining balance is settled on the day of the party.
  • A minimum of 10 children will need to be paid for.
  • Lunch is provided for children with the price, which includes a sandwich, crisps and a drink. (Please inform us of any dietary requirements).
  • We do not provide a cake as part of the party package but please bring one along.
  • We have knives, plates, napkins etc and can light any candles if you provide them.
  • Party members are asked to arrive ten minutes before the party to ensure we can start and finish promptly.

    Our standard day tickets allow you to come around the aquarium as many times as you please during our opening hours on the day of your visit.

    Last entrance into the aquarium is 1 hour before closing.

    The aquarium is step free with disabled toilet facilities and ramps throughout, suitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

    A 1:1 registered carer accompanying a paying disabled visitor, with proof of carer status, is admitted free of charge. Click more info for further details on required proof.

    We welcome trained assistance dogs to support the visitor they are with, wearing a working vest, and an ID card.
