Join us at Bristol Megascreen for our Monsterous Weekend film special! To celebrate the start of May Half Term and our “Mermaids and Monsters” event, we are putting on a screening of Dragonheart (1996) for it’s 30th year anniversary!

In a kingdom ruled by tyranny, a disillusioned knight (Dennis Quaid) forms an unlikely alliance with a dragon (voiced by the legendary Sean Connery). Together, they embark on a daring quest to challenge injustice, discover courage, and uncover the true meaning of a knight’s honourable code. Filled with epic battles, adventures, and a legendary dragon bond, Dragonheart is a timeless fantasy classic that has captured hearts for 30 years. Also starring David Thewlis, Jason Isaacs and Pete Postlethwaite.

This event is part of Bristol Aquarium’s Monstrous Weekend, packed with activities and interactive fun for the whole family. From discovering mythical creatures such as our real-life mermaid, to a mini-monsters tour inside the aquarium. Tickets to our Dragonheart screening also gives you 10% off your Bristol Aquarium ticket if you choose to visit the aquarium on the 23rd of May between 10am and 4pm.

Taking place from 6–14 June across Bristol, Bath and online, the Festival brings together over 160 events celebrating the natural world.

From talks and workshops to walks and family activities, there’s something for everyone.

You will be able to come and see us at our stall during this year’s Wild Weekend, as well as catching loads of fantastic films and events on our Bristol Megascreen!

This years films include screenings of Deadly 60, Gorillas on the Move from Bristol Zoological Society, Moon: Nature’s Secret Force and loads more!

What’s it all about??? We’re on a mission- bringing the best cycling short films from around the world together for you. This film fest is unashamedly and utterly, utterly, utterly designed and devised to delight the two-wheel devotee!

Showcasing 2.5 hours of dazzling bike films that have everything a cycle-centric audience could want – action, drama, humour, and plenty of inspiration, they’re going to spin your wheels, crank your dial, and ring your bell!

These short films are a great reminder of why we love to ride our bike. All celebrate the fun, the adventure, and the joy that cycling enables.

So…listen to the voice inside you; it’s telling you to go. Grab your mates, GO ON… grab your bike and come along for the ride!!
