Sadly we said goodbye to our giant Pacific octopus, Elsa in May 2015. Giant Pacific octopus live for 2-4 years, with both males and females not living very long after breeding. Females live long enough to tend to their eggs, which can be for weeks or months, and usually die soon afterwards as they do not eat during this period.
