Celebrate the incredible conservation success stories helping to protect our oceans and wildlife this summer at Bristol Aquarium.
Join us for Conservation Carnival, where you’ll discover inspiring stories of species recovery, habitat restoration and the amazing work of conservation charities making a real difference around the world. Through interactive activities, guided tours and family-friendly experiences, you’ll learn how small actions can help protect our blue planet.

Take on the Conservation Trail
Collect stamps as you journey through the aquarium, discovering six fascinating species and the conservation projects helping them thrive.
Daily Save Our Seas Guided Tours – 11am
Join our expert team each day for a free guided conservation tour through a different area of the aquarium. Discover amazing animal facts, learn about the challenges these species face in the wild and hear inspiring stories of conservation success.
Tours last approximately 15–20 minutes and include time for questions.
Treasure or Trash: Sandpit Search – Daily at 4pm
Become a marine explorer as you dig through our interactive beach combing sandpit.
Discover fascinating natural treasures including:
- Shark teeth
- Shark egg cases
- Fossils
- Seashells
- Coral fragments
- Ancient marine specimens
You’ll also uncover examples of plastic pollution and learn why keeping our beaches clean is so important for marine wildlife.

Discover our events throughout the year
We host fun and educational events every school holiday, from getting hands on with a microscope to meeting a mermaid, we’ve always got something special around the corner here at Bristol Aquarium.
You can find regular films and events on our gigantic Bristol Megascreen – our renovated ex IMAX screen that plays host to film festivals, cult classics, documentaries, premieres and private hire events.
Plus we host loads of extra fantastic and engaging activities throughout the year on special occasions such as British Science Week, and you can come and see us at Festival of Nature and Bristol Harbour Festival!

Bristol Aquarium is open every day, including all bank holidays. We’re closed only on Christmas Day.

Our standard day tickets allow you to come around the aquarium as many times as you please during our opening hours on the day of your visit.
Last entrance into the aquarium is 1 hour before closing.

We’re easy to find, located in the heart of Bristol city centre on the historic Harbourside.

Online tickets are valid for one day within 6 months of the date of purchase, tickets can also still be bought on the door.
As a city centre attraction we do not have our own car park, the closest is Millennium Square Care Park. There are lots of other city centre car parks too if you prefer.
The aquarium is step free with disabled toilet facilities and ramps throughout, suitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
A 1:1 registered carer accompanying a paying disabled visitor, with proof of carer status, is admitted free of charge. Click more info for further details on required proof.
We welcome trained assistance dogs to support the visitor they are with, wearing a working vest, and an ID card.
