March 18, 2017 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Here at the aquarium we are all fascinated by fish but have you ever stopped to think just how extraordinary the aquatic world and its inhabitants really are?
Throughout the month of March we will be staging a series of fun talks, activities, workshops and events designed to give an insight into the world beneath the waves.
If you’ve ever wondered why sea water is salty, what a fish’s scales look like under a microscope or why there’s no such thing as a scientific definition of what a fish is then this is for you.
Our all-female team of aquarists will also be promoting British Science Week and encouraging more girls and women to get involved with the sciences. Read more about our all female team here.
